24. What kind of shoes should I wear?
You don’t wear shoes for the swim. Many triathletes prefer to wear (old) flip-flops for the start.
For the cycling leg, you can use regular cycling shoes that clip into your bike, but this isn’t necessary. You can also complete the cycling leg with regular (athletic) shoes.
For the running leg, we highly recommend using good running shoes. This prevents injuries to your feet and legs.
